The name Mahmya comes from an Arabic word meaning “protected”, and the island is part of the Giftun Island National Park, just off the coast of Hurghada. Here, you can swim in turquoise waters, relax on pristine beaches, and enjoy a peaceful island atmosphere away from the crowds.
